Abstract
The term Climate Engineering (CE) specifically describes large-scale technical methods that can be used to reduce the concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere or to reduce incoming solar radiation. Recently, some scientists and politicians have begun discussing the possibility of using CE to deal with climate change.

Clouds have different effects on the energy budget of the Earth and it depends on which clouds we are looking at and that makes all this is one of the reasons why clouds are variable and complicated and if you consider low clouds these often have a lot of water in them and they often reflect
a lot of sunlight so they often cool climate and if you consider high clouds, high thin clouds, the so-called cirrus clouds which consist of ice, they often thin and high in the atmosphere and their net effect is mostly not to cool climate but the warm climate because they also trap infrared radiation. It's a greenhouse effect these cirrus clouds exert and an
interesting thing perhaps is we can feel it every day. During day clouds tend to cool climate and during night, a night with clouds is usually warmer than a night without clouds. In principle one could of course think of intentionally alter the clouds if we increase the amount of low clouds we
would cool climate, if we increase the amount of high clouds we would warm climate. Now first of all clouds are complicated, we don't understand their role in climate so there is a lot of uncertainty in the role of clouds in climate anyway and this uncertainty of course translates to a
large uncertainty on if we intentionally modify clouds what effect that could have on on climate and we know if we were really to change at a large scale the patterns of clouds we would also change circulations and we
might also affect the precipitation patterns on earth as well.
