The film shows individual examples and colonies of the polyps Craspedacusta sowerbii. Using a quick motion effect camera, searching movements of the polyp heads are shown. The lateral bud formation of the polyps is shown as asexual reproduction. Separation of the newly formed bud from the mother polyp and creeping motion are shown in quick motion and at normal speed.
