By means of the magneto-optic Kerr effect, Weiss domains can be made visible and their changes followed as a magnetic field is set up. In an early part of the film, magnetic reversal processes are shown at the surface of an FeSi monocrystal with an orientation similar to the (100)-cubic position, which is reverse-magnetized at different field intensities in a rotating field of constant rotation speed. The latter part of the film shows coupling of domains between two neighbouring crystallites of a polycrystalline metal plate of cubic type.
