English | English By means of the magneto-optic Kerr effect, Weiss domains can be made visible and their change followed, as a magnetic field is set up. Simple magnetic reversal processes caused by the displacement of Bloch walls at the surface of a (110)-FeSi monocrystal are represented, with the magnetizing field indicating first parallel and then vertical to the preferred direction. The preference for the surface occurring in monocrystals with such orientation, as well as domain rearrangements without change in the overall magnetization, are shown in another part of the film. |
