Die Brote werden in mit einer Speckschwarte eingefetteten Brotkästen gebacken. Das Backhaus befindet sich außerhalb des Hauses. Der Backofen wird vom Bauern mit Holz beheizt. Vor dem Brotbacken wird Butterkuchen gebacken und nach dem Backen Obst gedörrt.

A farmer's wife makes bread dough from 30 kg rye flour, 5 kg wheat flour, leaven, salt and warm water. The bread is baked in boxes greased with bacon rind. The bakehouse is outside the farmhouse. The farmer heats the oven with wood. Before breadbaking butter cake is baken and fruit is dried afterwards.
