| English | English Birds of prey are shown in their habitat in the open savannah lands of East Africa. Because of the large numbers of species (89 main species and sub species have been proven on the African continent) it was necessary that the film was limited to typical inhabitants of this region. Shown in detail are: martial eagle (Polemaëtus bellicosus), bateleur (Terathopius ecaudatus), eagle hawk (Hieraaëtus fasciatus spilogaster) and Cape eagle (Aquila verreauxii). Questions of ecology, breeding biology and ethology are touched upon and discussed. |
