Der Film zeigt eingangs den apparativen Aufbau für die Durchführung von Kleinversuchen, sodann in Großaufnahmen die Schaumerzeugung bei der Druckluft-Flotation sowie die Veränderung des Schaumes nach Zugabe eines Schäumers. Abschließend wird ein Gemisch von Bleiglanz und Quarz mit Steinkohlenteeröl flotiert.
