Gegeben zwei Projektoren (a), (b). (a) wirft konstantes Zusatzlicht und (b) ein farbneutrales Diapositiv mit einem schwarzen Punkt auf einen orangefarbenen Karton. Der Punkt erscheint auf diesem Umfeld als braunes Infeld. Wird nun das Licht von (b), farbtemperaturneutral, so sehr verringert, daß sich die Helligkeit des Umfelds derjenigen des Infelds nähert, wirkt auch dieses orangefarben. - Das Infeld wird nun abgeschirmt, die Lichtstärke von (b), wie sich rechts unten auf dem Bildschirm verfolgen läßt, erheblich variiert. Das isolierte Infeld bleibt braun. - Wiederholung des Versuchs.

The spot appears in this surrounding as a brown infield. When the light of (b) is dimmed in a neutral colour temperature so much that the luminosity of the surrounding approximates the luminosity of the infield, it appears orange, too. - Now the infield is shielded, the luminosity of (b) is varied strongly, as can be watched at the right bottom of the screen. The isolated infield keeps brown. - Repetition of the experiment.
