Abstract |
The Bianco Beach in Calabria, South Italy, receives gravel and sand from a delta and transports it to a submarine canyon. The system ist, therefore, in a dynamic equilibrium. Geologists, geomorphologists and coastal engineers are investigating this equilibrium. The film provides an introduction into the problems of coastal dynamics, explains the most important terms, gives a summary of the results and demonstrates the methods applied.
