The film shows in three parts: 1. The behaviour of non-inoculated chick kidney cell cultures. 2. The detachment of virus-containing parts of the cytoplasma of cells previously infected with a herpesvirus of turkeys and subsequent phagocytosis of these parts of the cytoplasma by neighbouring cells. 3. The virus-induced transformation of cells as a late form of infection by the herpesvirus of turkeys.
