Abstract
Some passages of the dye Lissamin green: fluorscent shots. The cat carotid body is a chemoreceptor which measures the partial pressures of oxygen and carbon dioxide, and pH values in blood plasma. This organ seperates the corpuscles from the serum so that the receptors measure only values of plasma. Morphology and function are shown.
