After showing the normal, decapsulated kidney surface of an anaesthetized albino rat, the film shows the passage of intravenously injected Lissamingreen on the kidney surface. The dye passes through the vasa efferentia, the proximal and the distal tubulus lumina at characteristic times, thereby permitting - in addition to the differentiation of proximal and distal tubuli - the determination of tubular flow rates. This is followed by a description of the behaviour of the proximal and distal tubuli lumina during interruption of glomerular filtration by clamping the aorta.
