Zerspanungsprozeß beim Drehen von Aluminium-Knetlegierung mit hartmetallbestückten Werkzeugen im Langdreh- und im Orthogonalschnitt. Ablauf kurzer Spiralspäne und -locken. Bei wachsender Spanungsdicke geht die feine Lamellenstruktur in grobe, gleichmäßige Spanlamellen über. Übersichtsaufnahme (zeitgleich) und Lupenaufnahmen (Zeitdehnung).
The film shows the machining process during the turning of malleable aluminium alloy AICuMgPb with carbide tipped tools. The work sample was machined longitudinally and vertically under normal v 60 conditions with various cutting speeds, and the process was filmed both at normal speed and under magnification in slow-motion. The formation of cuttings from this material is characterized by spiral and short, coiled cuttings with uniform lamination, whereby with increasing machining thickness a sudden change from fine-Iamellar to coarse-lamellar results.
