English | English The film shows the machining process during the turning of malleable aluminium alloy AICuMgPb with carbide tipped tools. The work sample was machined longitudinally and vertically under normal v 60 conditions with various cutting speeds, and the process was filmed both at normal speed and under magnification in slow-motion. The formation of cuttings from this material is characterized by spiral and short, coiled cuttings with uniform lamination, whereby with increasing machining thickness a sudden change from fine-Iamellar to coarse-lamellar results. |
