The work sample was machined longitudinally and vertically under normal v 60 conditions, and the process was filmed both at normal speed and under magnifiction in slow-motion. The cutting formation gives short, spiral-shaped chips, which suddenly, at a particular machining thickness, change to thin, needle-like cuttings. |
