| English | English First, the organization of a rotifer (Epiphanes senta) is shown. The Seisonidea (Seison annulatus) reproduce by fertilized eggs, only. In the Monogononta (Brachionus urceolaris, Asplanchna girodi), both parthenogenesis and bisexual reproduction occur: amictic females, amictic egs; mictic females, hatching and organization of dwarf males, copulation, dormant eggs. In the Bdelloidea (Philodina citrina) males are absent. Reproduction is exclusively parthenogenesis. |
