Abstract Metzger & Zöller zeigten, daß ein Ensemble von Gegenständen gleicher Oberflächenfarbe so wie im selben Farbton beleuchtet wirken kann. Ein wirklich monochrom beleuchtetes Ensemble weißer Gegenstände kann - umgekehrt - als Gruppe von Gegenständen gleicher Oberflächenfarbe erscheinen. Demonstration des Unterschiedes der beiden Situationen entsprechen Erscheinungsweisen der Farben.
Metzger & Zöller demonstrated that an ensemble of even coloured objects appears as if they were illuminated in the same colour. An objectively monochromously illuminated ensemble of white objects can - reversely - appear as a group of objects of the same surface colour. Demonstrations of the differences between both situations.
