English	English Pelviscopy (gynaecological laparoscopy) enables visual inspection of the female genital organs and of the ovaries in particular. Ovarian changes of a benign or malignant nature can be verified by means of ovarian biopsy. By ovarian puncture and resection of the wall of a cyst, laparotomy cann be avoided in many cases.
