Abstract
Patamban is a village specialized in pottery. The work in the pottery is done mainly by women, alongside their other duties such as cooking, washing, cleaning etc. The men work mainly in the fields, but also in the pottery. The involvement of all generations allows fast reactions to changes in the market. Includes an interview with Genoveva Ruíz, one of the most successful pottery-makers, about her work and family.
