The film shows the machining process during the turning of special steel X 10 CrNiTi 18 9 with carbide tipped tools. The work sample was machined longitudinally and vertically under normal v 60 conditions, and the process was filmed both at normal speed and under magnification with suitable slow-down. The bad workability of this material leads to tangled cuttings with relatively coarse lamination.
