Entwicklung der Larven des Totengräberkäfers vom Schlüpfen der Larven aus dem Ei bis zur Vorpuppe. Während dieser Zeit fressen die Larven einen von den beiden Imagines zuvor vergrabenen und präparierten Kadaver. Zusätzlich werden die Larven von den Imagines durch Regurgitation gefüttert.

Development of the larvae in the beetle Necrophorus vespillo, starting with the hatching from the egg and ending at the last larval stage before becoming a pupa. In the course of their three stages the larvae eat the corpse of a small animal which had been previously prepared in the earth by the adult beetles. The film shows both the growth of the larvae and their behaviour. One can observe repeatedly how the adult animals feed their offspring.
