Verhaltensweisen, die vorzugsweise beim Zusammentreffen von Männchen und Weibchen auftreten (Treiben, Hüpfen, Hacken, "Lachen", Beugegurren, Flügelzucken, Nestgurren) und direkt auf den Balzpartner bezogene, nicht aggressiv erscheinende Verhaltensweisen (Partnerputzen, Schnäbeln, "Balzfüttern", Kopulation).

The film shows the behaviour patterns of courting ring doves (Streptopelia risoria). When male and female are put together, hunch-walking, hop charge, pecking, "laughing", bow-cooing, wing-flipping, and nest-cooing can be observed. Heteropreening, billing, and copulation are patterns which do not appear to be aggressive and which are directly appealing to the partner. Picking up and transporting nest material, nestbuilding, sitting in the nest, and trampling are patterns mostly related to the prospective nesting place.
