The research data management plan

This video series from Leipzig University Library introduces six key topics in research data management (RDM). The videos can be used flexibly according to a modular principle: individually, in custom combinations, or as a sequential learning pathway, depending on requirements. They cover interdisciplinary and long-term aspects of RDM. Each topic addresses typical scenarios or challenges encountered in research practice and conveys key content, recommendations for action and tips in an accessible manner, using illustrative elements and animations. The second topic is covered by seven videos which focus on the Data Management Plan (DMP) and introduce it as a flexible tool for managing research data. The series explains the DMP's purpose throughout the data lifecycle, its role in the research process and its typical content. The videos highlight the requirements of various funding bodies and the differences between individual and collaborative projects. They also offer practical tips on creating a DMP.
