Dr. Joan Masó (m) is a Principal investigator of CREAF leading specialized group on geospatial interoperability, GIS, remote sensing. In this presentation, Joan showed that in order to make sense of sensor data, a data model that semantically tags the data is needed. Sensor Things API helps to map “data columns” to concepts (time, observed property, location, etc.), making the data machine-readable, and as a bonus, this structured API has rich query capabilities.
