Technische Informationsbibliothek (TIB)
The Technische Informationsbibliothek, also known as the TIB – Leibniz Information Centre for Science and Technology, is Germany’s central specialist library for engineering, architecture, chemistry, computer science, mathematics and physics, located in Hanover. It is one of the world’s largest specialist libraries, with a collection of over 9 million items. It was founded in 1959 and aims to provide free access to scientific information; among other things, it is actively involved in the areas of Open Access, Open Data, Open Educational Resources, Open Infrastructures, Open Science and Open Source.
