I started with the question "how can I make managing DNS more user friendly for a customer" and the discovery of a small plugin for NetBox and ended up as the maintainer of a moderately complex and increasingly powerful DNS management tool. The talk will touch the core features of the plugin: * Validation of names and values * Automatic generation of NS, SOA and PTR records * Zone and record templates * Handling of RFC2317 zones * Automatic generation of DNS address records for IPAM IP addresses
