Abstract
We live in the era of growing demands for natural resources due to the growth of population on the global scale. Therefore it becomes more urgent to plan more responsibly the land use at the global scale as well as in the European level. In the path towards public agreement on decreasing human induced environment stress Estonia among other countries has joined with the Paris Agreement as well as with the "Fit For 55". For serving public needs for land use and land cover (LULC) data the open web map Satiladu (https://satiladu.maaamet.ee/en) is fully operational on its 4th year. The application was released by the Estonian Land Board on 17th of February 2021 initially for providing as easy as possible access to the Copernicus Sentinel data. During the active use period by different stakeholders Satiladu has grown to a convenient platform for providing user friendly access to other important LULC data as well - the data produced by Estonian Land Board, Estonian Environment Agency and Estonian Agriculture Registers and Information Bureau. By sector Satiladu has found its importance in: (1) public sector institutions (incl. offices related with environment and real estate planning); (2) open communities related to environmental planning activities; (3) educational and research institutions. As a major future perspective, the platform is designated to address more citizen science needs. As being an easy demonstrator for use cases of LULC data covering Estonian area, the vision is to apply the best practices and more settled algorithms at the European level as well.

Hello. Today I am talking about Estonia, which is a little country but full of innovation and technology, especially in the field of remote sensing, space and land cover studies. So, related to this, we have started our national satellite data center stop and it happened in 2019, but a lot has begun after that.
The initial status was to bring for scientists and experts various services, but as time evolved we
thought that it is possible to make services for every citizen, decision maker and also for the scientist. And now we have quite more, wider possibilities technologically to link with remote sensing services.
And today, especially, we are talking about satellite service and it is operative service about Estonia land cover for experimenting and getting the data.
And here is the API, which everyone can experiment and get the whole archive and also the data as it comes from the ESA. And now for the examples, here is one little island, Hyoma, in west of Estonia. The usual picture, so that is our enriched data product for summer.
And so for the mosques, the forest land cover mosque, water bodies mosque, wetlands mosque, open areas which are fields, plots and natural grasslands.
So, here is a mosque combining with Estonian land cover collected with our airplane. Over 10 meters mosque, under one meter mosque, which brings out the wetlands and grasslands
and now the summer mosque about 14 years about forest land cover, which brings about areas. Where have been forest for last 14 years and so here is the winter color scheme for
bringing out the vegetation areas and here is the winter color scheme with forest mosque, for wetland mosque. You see mostly flat wetlands in winter and open areas also mostly flat and so the average, not average, but yes, summarized forest mosque about winter forest cover.
And here is our height measurements via the LIDAR that also combined with satellite data. And for the last example, here is more little example about the same island
Hyoma. The forest and other land cover since about over five years, 2017 and 2022. And if you compare them, you can see the differences and you can make analysis about that and also make smart decisions.
And so, thank you for listening.
