Abstract
In this talk I will discuss the criteria for constructing a covariant quantum dynamics for causal sets using the Rideout-Sorkin sequential growth paradigm. In the histories-formulation, the growth process determines the complex weight or quantum measure, with the covariant observables or be-ables given by the covariant measurable sets. The existence of covariant observables in turn puts constraints on the allowed growth dynamics. I will present some recent results with Stav Zalel on a simplified â abelianâ model which demonstrates the existence of classes of covariant quantum dynamics. I will end the talk with a broad discussion of this observer independent formulation of quantum gravity.
