Lorena Abad is a PhD candidate at the Geoinformatics Department of the University of Salzburg. She focuses on bigEO and remote sensing analysis for landscape dynamics and geomorphological applications. She has also worked with FOSS4G for her research focusing on Sentinel products. During the 2023 OpenGeoHub Summer school, she granted OpenGeoHub’s communication experts an interview, sharing her experience in big EO data and remote sensing for map and monitor landscape changes, as well as her advice to process and query sentinel 1 and 2 data and her views on the challenges related to transport data in the future.
