Abstract
Globigerinella siphonifera (Foraminifera, Rotaliida, Globigerinina, Globigerinidae), diameter 350 – 450 µm, Lanzarote 3.2022. 1:14 min. The planktic species of Foraminifera possess several chambers in coiled trochospiral arrangement, bilaminar wall of calcite, also containing magnesium. Species with spines (spinose) and globose shape, the last whorl with four globular chambers, spines round. Shell and spines covered by plasm, this also forms a pseudopodial network which contains dinoflagellate symbionts. Particle transport in all directions.
