Abstract

SESC 24 de Maio, located in the historical urban center of São Paulo that is immensely dense, diverse and hosts extremely varied cultural manifestations, occupies the former headquarter of the Mesbla department store and represents an exemplary challenge of an architectural intervention that redefines the role of built heritage in the city.
