Abstract
Building a navigation system seems pretty straightforward– add a map here, show a route there, turn left here, arrive there… but the many layers of data and systems involved need to align just so to deliver an experience worth using. We’ve been building and testing that experience for a while now and have some stories to share. What does it take to build a quality navigation system that incorporates data from OSM? How can you possibly evaluate the quality of a navigation system when it seems so subjective? Get behind the driver-seat as we share experience and insights from building a navigation system and testing it all over the globe. You might want to buckle up for this one.
