Abstract
In this talk, we consider one relativistic nucleon interacting with classical σ and ω mesons fields in an atomic nucleus. I will explain that, in the nonrelativistic limit of nuclear physics, the model converges to a specific nonlinear Schrödinger-type equation with a mass depending on the solution itself. I will also discuss open problems concerning the case of several nucleons.
