GGOS, the Global Geodetic Observing System, is a collaborative contribution of the global geodesy community to the observation and monitoring of the Earth System. Geodesy is the science of determining the shape of the Earth, its gravity field, and its rotation as well as their variations. GGOS produced a short film "Discover GGOS" to promote GGOS as well as geodetic observations, IAG services and geodetic products. The aim of this film is to explain and outline the benefits of geodesy in a simple way to students, non-geodesists but also to the whole society. In addition to the English version, GGOS produced the film in Spanish, German and other languages to reach as many people as possible. This film was produced in 2022 by Martin Sehnal in the GGOS Coordinating Office (BEV - Federal Office of Metrology and Surveying - Vienna, Austria) with the support of the members of the GGOS Executive Committee and further people of the geodetic community.
