Abstract
.NET Micro Framework opens the doors to the realm of micro-controllers, robotics and all-things-fun to regular .NET developers. Einar, Jonas and Bjørn Einar will take you through their first months of exploring this awesome framework. Bjørn Einar is the little team's control engineer, and will show how to control out-of-control hardware. Einar, or Dr. Høst as we prefer to call him, is the developer who pushes new technology beyond its limits to see where abstractions break. With the help of Jonas (thinker, tinkerer and all-night hacker), he stretches the poor .NET micro chips pretty far beyond the intended use, deep into the space of meaningless meta-fun! Our goal is to show the capabilities of the .NET Framework by demonstrating control of some cool, physical, real-life hardware, as well as showing the capabilities of .NET Micro Framework as a full-fledged programming platform. The intended audience needs no experience in embedded programming or electronics, a basic understanding of coding on the .NET platform is all that is required to develop amazing technology with your existing skillset. Ever wanted to control some hardware from your existing .NET application? Wanted to prototype devices for the internet of things? Release your creativity with the .NET Micro Framework!
