Abstract
Cash is a bearer, P2P, permissionless, and privacy-preserving form of money" (Brito 2019). Bitcoin lacks privacy, and currently Monero is more suitable as digital-cash. Using atomic swaps, Monero enables bitcoin users to exercise their right for privacy. At the same time these privacy-oriented users become Monero users. In addition, Monero will benefit from bitcoin's large liquidity pool, and will be more resilient, since there will always be a fluid path for trustless and permissionless entry into Monero.
