Okay, so, right, for anyone who just joined the conference today, welcome to the conference, of course, EuroPython 2020, this time online, it's the 19th EuroPython conference, we have
more than 1,000 tickets registered, we have attendees from 69 countries, well, that was yesterday, maybe we have more now, which is amazing, because it's actually, it's 40 countries up compared to last year, so these online events actually do make it
possible for lots of people to join, who would otherwise not be able to join. We have a few morning announcements to make today, the most important one is the keynote rescheduling, so you may remember yesterday morning when we started the conference, we had a keynote, the keynote was scheduled from Sida, and that didn't work out, so we contacted her later on,
and then we rescheduled to today, so the, because the only slot that we had left that would fit is the dinner time, we decided to use the dinner time slot at 6.45 p.m. CST,
we are going to basically have a dinner keynote, right, so you can listen to the talk while you eat your pizza, I think that's going to work out well, it's directly after the Q&A with Guido,
so it's going to be interesting. Second announcement is that the YouTube links have changed today, all the zoom links remain the same, like yesterday, but for YouTube we had to restart them, restart the streams and change to different streams, so what we did is, we
updated everything on Discord, we sent an announcement with the new links, what we missed is changing the YouTube links on zoom itself, so if you see YouTube links on zoom, then they probably still point to yesterday's sessions. The sessions from yesterday
will probably go online this morning, I don't know exactly when, because it depends a bit on how long YouTube takes to process the streams that were recorded yesterday, but once that's done,
we will probably post the links to the announcements as well, so you can re-watch talks from yesterday. We'll have a recording session at 1545 CST and the Neatrack, so if you're looking for a new job, then that's the perfect place to go. The companies will introduce themselves and will also showcase the job openings that they have. Then I wanted to remind you that we do have two
rooms available for doing open space tracks. It's very easy to register, we put the links on Discord in the announcements, but the open space rooms were not really used that much yesterday, so we'd like to just remind you to maybe have a look and if you want to run a show there or do
a talk, then you can schedule on those Google sheets and then go there and have your talk, and we can also help you to announce the sessions if you like, just contact one of the organizers. Right, and then again we have the lightning talks, I don't know whether we already put up the spreadsheet, but we will probably after the keynote, and then of course we're
gonna have an after-party today. It's at 9 schedule for 9.30 with more or less open end, it's after the closing session. So yeah, that's basically it in terms of announcements. Then I
would just like to point you, if you just joined, I would like to point you to the digital conference back. There is an announcement with the secret link. The sponsors have put lots of coupon codes, job offers and free stuff in there, so you can pick those up. The open space, like I said, completely self-organized. We have a code of conduct, in short it's be nice to each
other, be professional, don't spam. If you have any issues regarding the code of conduct, you know, any code of conduct issues, then please contact us. There's a link on the website with the contacts and you can also use the COC mention on Discord for this. So enjoy the
conference and now I'm going to pass over to Alejandro and Martin to host the keynote and run the keynote. Thank you.
