Abstract
Following on from the webinar presented by Martin Schweitzer on Thursday March 22 which focussed on data visualisation design and principles, this second webinar focuses on tools and techniques for creating data visualisations. People preparing a data visualisation are now spoilt for choices. There are many tools available and it is now easier than ever to create superb visualisations with interactive components and dazzling effects. Unfortunately it is also easier than ever to create bad visualisations. This webinar investigates a number of open source tools and libraries for data visualisation and explain how to select from the myriad of options available to create charts, graphs, maps, interactive and 3D visualisations. Most of the presentation focuses on selecting the right tool for the job, but there will also be a section that will look at programming a visualisation. In particular, using Jupyter Lab - an interactive Python environment.
