Currently we’re also building a Docker environment for OwnCloud in combinatie with Object Storage. In addition to our SURFdrive OwnCloud environment, where we support today more than 37,000 users from Dutch higher education and science with their need for personal data storage. Was there a request for a more flexible storage solution where researchers are able to share more and larger datasets with a group of researchers from home or abroad and third party. As solution for this we have designed a solution on based of OwnCloud, running on Docker, in combination with Swift S3 Object Storage. In this presentation we want to tell you something about our setup and the challenges we have encountered.
