| English | English A man, called Marcellino, gathers some hanging vines in the forest in order to have them made into a fire fan by this daughter-in-law. She first strips the bark of the lianas Marcellino had collected and then smooths them over and thins them down with a machete before beginning to plait the fire fan. She starts by crossing a few strands and then adds more and more horizontally and vertically, leaving open loose ends in the lower half from which she will later make the handle for the fire fan. The film shows an oblique 3/3 twill plaiting made in 4 sections. |
