| English | English The violin is roughly cut and carved out of a piece of timber, so that body, neck and peg-box are made in one piece. A skin is sticked in a wet condition on the lower rib and left to dry. The holes for inserting the pegs tightening the four strings into the peg-box as well as the hole for attaching the string to the bow are applied with a hot iron. The first string is put on the violin and tried with the bow. |
