Musiker in Katmandu spielen sitzend die Klappertrommeln. Das Instrument wird paarweise durch rhythmisches Drehen gespielt, wobei kleine Klöppel gegen die Trommelfelle schlagen. Durch Ziehen und Lockern der Spannschnüre wird die Tonhöhe während des Spielens variiert.

The rattle drums dabadaba are played in pairs. Through rhythmical rotation the small clapprs are beaten against the drum skin. The skins are tautened with cords. By tightening and loosening of these cords the pitch of each drum can be altered during playing.
