| English | English Skins and bracing cords of the small, barrel-shaped drum madal are cut out of a cleaned and dried goatskin and put on the body carved in one piece. Both skins are smeared with the black tuning-paste. The skins are tuned by bracing up the bracing cords. Finally the drum is beaten by the drum-maker, a member of the Kullu caste. |
