Frauen schlagen Fruchtstände der Bacaba-Palme (Oenocarpus sp.) ab. Mit Hilfe von erhitzten Steinen dünsten sie die Früchte in Kuhlen, die sie am Ufer ihrer Wasserstelle ausheben. Die weich gewordenen Früchte werden zerrieben und mit Wasser verdünnt getrunken.

Women cut off fruit stalks of the bacaba palm (Oenocarpus sp.) and boil the fruits in pits, dug on the bank of their watering-place, by dropping in heated stones. When the fruits are well-done, they are crushed, the pulp is mixed with water and drunk.
