| Englisch | Englisch The film shows the development of the European great bustard from the day of birth to growth of the downy covering, and up to the moulting of the first small feathers at 5 to 6 weeks, demonstrated on two birds hatched in an incubator and raised in captivity. To demonstrate body growth, the older chick is shown on a millimetre screen from time to time. These pictures are followed by shots of the behaviour of the young birds in a natural biotop, and detailed shots of the development of the external organs. |
