Abstract

German	German Ausschnitte aus dem Pfahlfest in Jhabua: Junge Männer versuchen auf einen etwa 10 m langen (Durchmesser 30 cm) mit Öl und Seife eingeschmierten Pfahl zu klettern. Oben befestigen sie ein zugeschnürtes Tuch, das Zucker und eine Kupfermünze enthält. Frauen versuchen die Jungen mit langen Bambusstöcken am Klettern zu hindern.
English	English Shows scenes of customs which the Bhil of central India celebrate in the spring. The "Holi" festival is held in March and is a typical fertility rite.
