Im Dorfe Nemboi fertigen zwei Spezialisten aus den weißlichen Federn der Pazifiktaube (Ducula pacifica) und den roten des Nektarvogels (Myzomela cardinalis) sowie mit dem Saft des Papiermaulbeerbaumes (Broussonetia papyrifera) Federgeldelemente an. Sie werden mit Gnetum-gnemon-Bast dachziegelartig zu einem etwa 9 m langen Wulst geschnürt. Die Federgeldeinheit wird um zwei an den Enden befestigte Rindenmanschetten zu einer Doppelrolle aufgewickelt.
