Accompanied by his relatives and friends a young man of sixteen has arrived for a visit from the neighbouring valley to Munggona, where he has been initiated a short time ago. The purpose of this visit therefore implies the ceremonial compensation for the initiation. As a gift the young man hands over a broad forehead band covered with thin slices of the shells of Nassa-snails to the man who had taken care of him during his initiation. As a return present he gets some pig's fat.
