In the morning members of the Sembiring family offer a sacrifice to the ancestors in a holy place. Two women enter in relations to the spirits. In the afternoon a further offering is made at the sacred spring - seat of an ancestor spirit - and a ritual hair-washing takes place. In the evening and in the night the ceremonial dances are performed in the house. In the course of the feast women are repeatedly possessed by different spirits taking part in the feast.
