In Mátraalmás, in dem ehemaligen Szuhahuta (Nordungarn), stellt István Stork in sechstägiger Arbeit mit einer altertümlichen Technik eine Stollentruhe her: Entrinden des Baumstammes, Bretterschneiden und -bearbeiten, Fertigstellung von Nut und Feder, Zusammensetzen der Einzelteile, Verzieren und Bemalen der fertigen Truhe.

Besides the cradle the stile chest is the oldest piece of furniture to be found in farm-houses. Its history can be traced back to the Bronze Age. In the fifties there was a woodworker living at Szuhahuta (North Hungary) who, together with his wife, still knew the old techniques of chest-making. The couple make a stile chest for sale.
