This sacrifice addresses the ancestor spirits. In front of the entrance of the shaman's house the ritual objects are assembled on a small altar table: incense sticks, alcholic liquid in bowls, rice, and spirit paper. The shaman standing in front of the altar invokes the spirits. He throws the oracle rods to inquire whether the sacrifice has been accepted and gives the fowl to two women who slaughter it in the manner required by ritual. Blood is sprinkled on the altar, on the rice and on the spirit paper. After the fowl is boiled it is brought back to the altar table. A pair of cymbals, a burning oil lamp, and smoking incense sticks are placed next to it. The shaman comes back to the altar table and continues its invocations. He throws again the oracle rods. Finally he burns the spirit paper, picks up the oracle rods and returns into his house. Members of the family remove the altar table and carry the ritual objects to the ancestor shrine inside the house.
